In which brands of faucets will the DripStop® Valve work?
The DripStop® Valve will work in all major brands of compression faucets! There are four DripStop® Valve models. These four models are engineered to fit the specific designs of the most popular (major) faucet manufacturers. As a result, the DripStop® Valve will work in the vast majority of faucets in service today. However, there are a few exceptions where it won't so click here to view the DripStop® Faucet Guide to help you select the right DripStop® Valve for your faucet.
Remember, the DripStop® Valve's patent-pending technology will only work in compression faucets (the kind that use a rubber washer). The DripStop® Valve is not designed to work in ball-type faucets (one-handle faucets that allow you to regulate the water’s temperature by moving the handle to the left or right) or faucets that use ceramic discs or other washerless cartridge systems. Other than that, no matter what model or make, if your faucet can use an old-fashioned rubber washer, it should benefit from the DripStop® Valve.

How can I tell if the DripStop® Valve will work in my faucet?
The best way is to know how your faucet works. The DripStop® Valve will not work in faucets that use ceramic discs or other types of washerless cartridge systems.
To find out if your faucet uses washers or a cartridge system, turn the faucet on as you normally would to allow water to flow (“open”). In general, you won't be able to turn the handle of a faucet that uses ceramic or another type of washerless cartridge system more than a quarter (sometimes a half) of a turn. If you can turn the handle open more than once around (without also turning the base that connects it to your sink), then your faucet probably uses old-fashioned rubber washers and will benefit from using the DripStop® Valve.
If you still can't tell after conducting this test, then the best way to see if your faucet uses washers is to remove and inspect the stem assembly. If there is a rubber washer attached (by a screw in its center) to the end of the faucet’s stem, then you can confidently replace that washer with the DripStop® Valve.

How can I tell the four DripStop® Valve models apart?
- The smallest of the four DripStop® Valve models is DSV-B. It has the most narrow screw shaft and has the tightest thread-count.
- The (noticeably) largest DripStop® Valve is DSV-D. It has the widest head.
- The last two DripStop® Valves look very similar…but they are quite different. These are DSV-A and DSV-C.
- Stand these last two DripStop® Valves on their heads (they'll topple over if you try to stand them on their shafts). As you look down on them, one will be just slightly (but visibly) wider than the other. This is DSV-C. The smaller of these two DripStop® Valves is DSV-A.

Will the DripStop® Valve work if my faucet's seat is worn?
Yes. The DripStop® Valve will still work in faucets with worn or chipped seats. If your faucet has a cracked seat that is leaking from its side wall, then you will probably have to replace that seat.
